Yard of the Month 2006

Our judges will be scouting out Alden Bridge for a front yard worthy of the Yard of the Month designation. All Alden Bridge residents can help us out by nominating a yard. Halloween Decoration Winner

Halloween Winner

The Graffagnino's of 22 Silk Tree Place, Windvale Development in Alden Bridge were selected in the inaugural 2006 ABVA Halloween Spookiest House.

Their house was judged in late October amongst other Alden Bridge Village nominations. Awards were presented on October 31st. Thanks to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and Alden Bridge Village Chick-Fil-A for providing the prize package.

The winnners for our final Yard of the Month selection are Paul & Marsha Baker of 7 North Benton Woods Circle (Benton Woods). It was a dark and stormy evening that the Alden Bridge "Prize Patrol" arrived to make the presentation. But the rain held off while we made our presentation.

This is our final Yard of the Month Presentation for 2006.

September 2006 Winner

Our September Yard of the Month winner is Liz Van Der Laag of 39 N. Piney Plains Circle in Spring Hill. The beautiful yard is a great example of how native plants can be used in landscaping. Hummingbirds and butterflys abound in this natural setting.

Frank and Kay Matzer, 10 Camborn Place, in Hawthorne Hollow are our August winners. They were home and out to enjoy the presentation by ABVA representatives Greg Joyce, Joe McCann, and Rose Herzog.

Linda and Joe Skinner of Auburn Path Drive are our July winners. The Skinners can often be seen working on their beautiful yard. They and their neighbors also make the nearby cul-de-sac island just as nice. You'll see abundant color even in the middle of the summer season.

Tony and Pat Phyle of 7 Westwinds Circle are our June winners.

This beautiful Alden Bridge yard just stood out with great color and beauty. The Phyles take great pride in their yard and it shows. Even when the "prize patrol" arrived they were hard at work in the yard. We're proud that this is the June 2006 Yard of the Month!

Lou and Pat Vigliorolo at 63 South Bethany Bend Circle in Wildflower Trace Subdivision

It features a garden that is native, organic, water-wise and not in the least bit wild or offensive. It is in keeping with preserving the natural environment. This yard practices environmental conservation and proves you can have it all - grass, flowers, shrubs, and possibly a low watering bill.
